Festive

Last night Josh and I went for a walk around our neighborhood to look at everyone's Christmas lights and decor. It was all really pretty (well except for the few that went way overboard a la Clark Griswold) but we were stumped by this one:

What is that white yeti/deranged polar bear thing and how does it relate to Christmas? Anyone?

Definitely a yeti. How it relates to Christmas....he is white like snow, which we sometimes have at Christmas. That is my best guess.

Also, responding to your comment. Gingerbread houses are not only for the kids. You guys should buy two and have a competition!

I think you might be on to something with your yeti theory ...

I'll try talk Josh into having a gingerbread house decorating contest - but I have a feeling I'm going to be shot down!

It's the snow monster from the old Rudolph movie. You know, the claymation version with Burle Ives as the snowman's voice? They take all his teeth out and then he becomes useful by putting the star on top of the tree because he's tall enough to reach without a ladder. My kids love that movie and, yes, I am pathetic for knowing all those details.
